His arrangements and compositions are all so nice!
Unlike Liu Xing's, haha!
Love in Hong Kong Suite 1, 2 and 3!
AHHHHHHHHH!
-.-
Haha anyway today was just another normal day which was actually rather fun.
We played a NE (National Education) game and I emerged as an expert builder of primitive Singapore!
Hahaha!
Okay, that was on my second try -.-
Amaths was okay because I did most of my work!
:P
MOST!
MT was boringggggggg, I did more of my paper 2 for Amaths during MT period even though we were supposed to be doing our workbook, haha.
School ended and Ernest went to open the CO room, haha.
See lah, back to my sec1 days, when I had to wait outside the CO room for the key holders to arrive :(
Haha but I went to the CO room with him so I didn't have to wait :P
Aiyah, I introduced the basics of conducting to my two ASCs and then I let them have a go at conducting the orchestra.
Haha at least I'm so much nicer than SerYang, who just threw the orchestra at me and made me conduct without even giving my much guidance, lol.
Leaving me to face the cruel orchestra all by myself!
I didn't do that to them, of course!
I conducted once for them to see and stood by them when they conducted!
Haha actually they're not bad, for the fact that they dared to conduct.
In fact, I don't think they were very nervous, that's good!
After a while, I really got bored (and so did the orchestra) conducting JJL over and over again, so I switched over to JG for one time :D
Haha so glad to see that people can actually still remember how to play JG and they still played it well!
It really brought back memories!
I'm going to play the recording of our JG during SYF at the next dazu for them to hear, haha.
It's always good to review our past doings and see what mistakes we've overlooked and improve on it next time!
Not improve on the mistakes ah, correct them and improve that aspect!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
LOVE SUITE IS DAMN NICE!
*eh this isn't the cheena type of CO song hor!
it's more of those pop songs!
Canto pop!*
Love in Hong Kong :)

Congrats to the two of them, and the rest of the committee!
Hey!
I didn't get a chance to make a proper entry about the handover yesterday, because I was in a terrible mood, haha so here it is!
First up!
KYS and ERNEST!
Or rather, Ernest and KYS, as the order in the picture, haha :P
KYS - Chairman
Ernest - Vice Chairman
:D
Do your best alright!
To KYS-
Hey hey you're the chairman now!
Haha the initial stages of being a chairman might be very uncertain and distorted, but don't worry, you'll overcome it well enough!
Be sure to work closely with your vice chairman because the both of you need to be coherent in what you all plan and execute!
Let there be no misunderstanding between the two of you.
Whenever in doubt, ASK!
Don't assume anything for the worst without clarifying.
Don't infer too much, because you won't be right all the time!
No doubt, the protection of your seniors are now absent, but they haven't been lost!
Your seniors are always here for you to give you any advice whenever you need them, but remember to be confident in whatever you do!
A lot of battles are won in the mind, with your mindset winning half of the battle.
Good luck as chairman of VsCo 2009/2010!
To Ernest-
Hey hey vice chairman of VsCo 2009/2010!
Haha I'm glad to know that you've already discussed with KYS, but remember, what I said to KYS pretty much applies to you too, haha!
You're in the same class with him, so I'm sure communication with him would be pretty smooth!
Same section too, haha.
However, I'm sure you can do more than just what's under your job scope!
You can do it, because you're Ernest Lim!
But!
Despite being the vice chair of VsCo, you must never never neglect your studies ah!
The worst thing to happen is for our CCA heads to go into ESP!
:O
So never let that happen!
Be sure to delegate jobs within your committee and out fairly, and don't do everything by yourselves (you and KYS)!
Good luck as vice chair, and we'll still there as seniors for you!
There, haha.
As for my SCs, I'll have to meet up with them one day after school to discuss certain things with them, teach them more basics and encourage them, haha.
There's really a lot to learn, but I can only teach so much, haha.
Most of the things I learned were taught by myself.
Either through researches online or by observation.
Observing other conductors can really be very very useful (through YouTube or by watching concerts).
I still remember the first time I went to watch VJCO's concert.
I saw Quek Ling Kiong conducting, haha and I was pretty much awed by him!
I even compared it to Mike Chiang's and decided that I preferred QLK's style, haha.
But then this year, I came to a new conclusion, and that is I don't really like QLK's style anymore, haha.
His conducting is too 'professional', in a sense that his conducting style would best suit professional orchestras.
Other orchestras wouldn't be able to follow him optimally.
Yup, so that's how I observe!
It gets boring after a while when you study the theories behind conducting online or elsewhere, so look at some videos (especially professional ones!) (EH CO VIDEOS AH, NOT P*RN!) and study visually!
Anyway I've always found visual studying a lot easier haha.
Okay, visual as in the ACTIONS being performed, not reading the words, haha.
Also, learn as much as you all can from Mr Goh!
Oh, and you all must be BRAVE and DARING!
Don't restrain from expressing yourselves when conducting!
Haha like I said, learn by observation and move with the music!
Actually, every musician should move with the music, coherence!
It's really true that absence makes the heart grow fonder.
There are somethings that cannot be brought back.
Yet, those are the most precious things that one can ever have.
Those times..
Haha sorry, but I'm not cheery enough for a decently good entry, and I think neither will I make one for handover.
However, there's always an alternative, lime-sorbet.blogspot.com.
Yea, go there for all the details, pictures and more.
Aiyah although he has portrayed me in a horrible horrible light, I can't help it if that's what he wants.
But, going through those photos, I remembered that those days were irreplaceable, yet the most fun.
I went to LC's blog too, and confirmed that.
I wonder what changed it all.........
JUNIORS, TREASURE YOUR TIME IN VSCO, MAKE IT WORTHWHILE, AND NEVER HAVE TO REGRET FOR ANYTHING YOU WANTED TO DO, BUT DIDN'T!
Push for a concert.

Handover tomorrow
Handover..
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'M SO TIRED HAHA!
FINALLY!
This second SC of VSCO can step down!
WHEEEEEE!
:D
I'm proud and happy to have been the SC for VSCO, because they've really tested my patience!
Lol.
Haha, I ended dazu abruptly just now because I was so fed up with that percussion.
Oh well.
:P
Like I said, VSCO has been fun!
And it's good to hear that the new chairman is interested in pushing for a concert!
GOGOGO!
DO IT!
YOU GUYS NEED SOME EXPOSURE!
Aiyahhhhhh, but I still have to conduct until the 18th.
That means I'll lose out more on homework and stuff, grr.
I hate that lah.
50+ more days to Prelim2, 100+ more days to O levels.
I WANT TO SCORE WELL YOU KNOW!
Aiyah, it's the weekend, thankfully, but there's tons of work to be done.

Right then left!
Ouch..
At first it was my right arm that hurt, last week when I conducted dazu on Friday.
Now it's my left arm that's hurting -.-
Haha, dazu today, but Mr Goh had me conducted.
Very tiring and sometimes very boring.
BORING!
Oh ya, committee positions have been announced to the sec3s and the sec2 committee, FINALLY handover can take place.
Saturday, muhahaha.
YAY!
Today was one loooooooooong day!
Four maths period.
Aiyah, I still haven't finished my A and E maths paper 2 for AHS.
I still have to do Physics workbook for induction to be handed in tomorrow.
I have to bring 5 years series for both Chemistry and Bio tomorrow.
I hate Friday's lessons!
The timetable for Friday is terrible.
Chemistry and Biology.
Sigh, I've got to learn to like it!
There's a rehearsal for Speech Day tomorrow.
Mr Goh will be coming down later in the afternoon to hear the acoustics for our performance and to help out as well.
Looks like it'll be VSCO and I again after school, for dazu before rehearsal, haha.
I'm getting no peace this weekend.
I have so much to be done (homework), yet there's CO on Saturday and I have to go for CSCO on Sunday.
Really too much.
I would like a break, for once.
SIGH!
Do I hear music differently from others?
Or do others hear music differently from me?

CHEM ARGH!
CHEM REALLY ISTRY OKAY!
I hate Chemistry....
I did that organic chemistry worksheet today had no clue how to do.
NOT A SINGLE QUESTION I COULD DO.
Argh.
I brought the wrong AHS paper today, Amaths instead of E, and was made to stay back for maths ESP.........
Walao the ESP was very stupid, all we had to do was one worksheet and we could leave.
2.45-3.45pm, 1 worksheet.
I left at 3pm, HAHA!
Then there was Chemistry remedial at 4pm and I did that crazy ONE worksheet on organic chemistry for 1 hour.
I had to ask for the answers...
I tried to understand along the way, but really..
Haiz.
Oh ya, and Ms Tay wants our AHS A and Emaths papers in by tomorrow.
I haven't done either and I can't possibly do them by tomorrow.
I'm just going to finish Amaths, because apparently E maths is easier.
I hope it doesn't include those drawing questions, argh but there's sure to be a graph question.
Nevermind lah, maybe I'll do until 11pm, haha.
2 hours to finish?
Can I do it?
Haha let me go download the answer key from LMS first!
:D
Haha okay I just downloaded it, haha.
Omg I've got a stomachache.
Aiyah let me finish this entry first, then I'll go toilet :P
After that, I'll come out and FINISH my A maths paper!
With the answer key, all that's need left to do is UNDERSTAND the workings!
If I don't understand, I'm leaving it blank, haha.
I'm not copying anything that I don't understand, because it defeats the purpose.
There's dazu tomorrow.
Hmm....
I really...... feel so sian lah!
FASTER HANDOVER!
It's time to....... say goooooooodbyeeeeeeee!
Let the juniors run the CCA lah.
Eusebio lah, whole day want to dominate them and still be chairman in JULY.
Walao.
Want to stay in office for the longest time ah?
Haha.
Double maths tomorrow + chem.....
EL - triple periods, but fun!
Haha!
Okay lah, I go toilet le, BYE!

Stress..
Hey!
I just got back from my erhu lesson, haha.
Finally finished learning the entire song.
Well, actually there's only the last part left but I can handle that on my own!
Haha at the end of the lesson, LLS was giving me stress by asking me to 'manage my time' well enough so I can balance my studies for prelim 2 and practising for CSCO concert in August, lying in the same week as prelim 2..
By the time I left his house, I was feeling quite pissed actually.
Making so many demands on me..
Haha then when I got home, he talked to me on msn and told me that if I couldn't make it for the concert, he will cancel my name.
"Studies more important", he suddenly said.
And just moments ago he was telling me that, "aiyah those who score badly for prelim 2 always get single digit in O levels de lah!"
.....................
I think he was analysing my face when he said that sentence to me, and he kinda got the massage I think, haha.
I will never let down my studies.
Unlike CSCO concert, we don't really have a second chance at the big exam.
Skipping this concert wouldn't be a big blow to the orchestra nor me, but this big exam is personal.
But really lah, I also want to go for the concert..
It's just that there's too many songs to practise for.
Let's see lah, if I can play all the hard songs by next Sunday's practice, then maybe I can go, because GSJZY is very simple.

Haha walao LLS is damn funny.
He say he's playing street fighter iv online, and then said he stop because the other player keep losing to him.
I asked him to play DotA (lol imagine that), and he said he played that since my brother's time, but no longer, because too sian already.
"I always win" -LLS
...........................
Haha.
Aiyahhhhh, must write my own testimonial.
I'm not those shameless type who can boast lor.
"Self-praise is an international disgrace!"
Haha but nevermind, I shall try to do it!
I will use the humblest words ever!
"Bryan has done his fair share in his CCA, bringing it to the bare minimum of his requirements as an SC in his CCA"
:O
"Bryan has been splendid in his CCA and has brought honour and glory to VSCO! He was the best Student Conductor that VSCO could ever have and has assisted VSCO's resident conductor greatly! He has also been the envy of all!"
Oh shut up lah Bryan.
I try lah huh..
D:
Amaths and Biology tomorrow!
SPA skill 3 paper - not done.
AHS amaths paper - not done.
I'm dead.
I need to at least bring them in tomorrow so I can complete it, or at least attempt to.
EL triple period tomorrow, I'm not sure if it's the lecture or what, but I'd better bring my EL resource book just to play safe, haha.
Oh ya, the bus I took to school this morning broke down just before it entered PIE, haha.
Luckily it didn't break down in the middle of PIE, oh that would've been trouble, big time.
The engine was stalling a few times at some stops before it broke down, then finally it went dead and all the passengers had to get off the bus and wait for the next bus.
Thankfully the next bus came quite promptly and I wasn't late for school!
Sighhh.
It's really not far from prelim 2 and from the O levels.
100+ more days to O levels, and 50+ more days to prelim 2.
It's also 50+ more days to CSCO concert.
Actually +/- 50 days, haha.
I'm lazy to count :P
Oh well, I can't wait to join NSP since I can't study at home.
Who knows?
I might make better progress at NSP.
Actually I like the idea of NSP.
Okay bye.
